Helen Ching-Kircher, President & CEO of H. Ching. Kircher Inc., Dealer Principal, President and CEO of DFC Auto Group, Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto and Audi Uptown was being appointed to the Order of Ontario by an official announcement on January 1st, 2021. Her Hon. Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism, Arts and Sports announced officially to Helen Ching Kircher about her prestigious achievement via phone, while an official release will follow shortly.
The Order of Ontario is the province’s highest honour. It is reserved for Ontarians from all fields of endeavour and backgrounds, whose excellence has left a lasting legacy in the province, Canada and beyond. Members of the Order are a collective of Ontario’s finest citizens, whose contributions have shaped – and continue to shape – the province’s history and place in Canada.
The Order of Ontario was created in 1986 and the first appointments were made in 1987. Members of the Order of Ontario are invested with their insignia by the Lieutenant Governor as the Queen’s representative. Upon admission, members are invested with the Order’s insignia (a distinguishing mark or emblem worn to signify membership or achievement).
